Then, in relation to cracks, dents, chippings, chips - that is, in relation to everything that makes the surface of an ordinary full-bodied brick in the Lviv region or elsewhere - a minimum number of them is required, but this is not a facing brick with its ideal surface, how to determine their acceptable number? Firstly, if all this does not affect the strength and other characteristics, then their number is acceptable, it is difficult to determine this by eye, but you should at least look closely at a few bricks so that they are not on each and the shape of a circle or other figure, in some and the same places or deep enough and large in size. It should be noted that ordinary full-bodied brick will not be visible to the eye, all these manifestations will be behind the plaster or facing brick, and if this does not affect the change in shape, size and the excluded increase in cracking over time, this is acceptable. An ordinary solid brick should be heavy and ringing - you can take it in your hands and tap it, if it is too light or the sound is dull, then it may well mean that there was too much sand in the raw material, this will lead to low performance characteristics, such as strength on compression, frost resistance and resistance to bending. Many people throw a brick on the hard floor during the inspection (while it is desirable that it breaks and it will not be superfluous to warn others) - if it splits into several large pieces, and the fragments/chips are quite sharp, then it is a quality brick, and if there are many small fragments, or non-uniform parts, a lot of sand, and the edges are smoothed or crumbling - this is not a high-quality brick. There were also cases of testing bricks for radiation level - in our case it was always normal, because the brick factory with the quarry is located far from objects polluting with radiation, and in general, we have always been proud that our products are the most ecological in Ukraine, as in terms of impact on the environment or the human body, as well as in terms of the impact of production on the natural environment.
