Row brick Lviv
The brick factory "Solonsko" focused its production on the row brick - this is a universal brick, which is best suited for the construction of load-bearing, as well as self-supporting walls and partitions of single-story and multi-story buildings. Row brick is also called standard or building brick, in contrast to facing brick, which can also be called front or facade - it is used for finishing walls from the outside of buildings or erecting external walls or fences. Visually, the row brick looks like most people imagine it - a solid stone of a rectangular shape of standard brick sizes, mainly red or orange in color, with characteristic scratches, small cracks and chips - this is what distinguishes it from facing brick, which should look perfect. , because it is laid on the outside of the building and to the eye such a structure seems ideal with a finished look. But, using only facing brick for construction is not economically viable, such brick is more expensive and it is impractical to build all the walls with it, because the walls consist of several layers, then the surface can be covered with finishing or heat-insulating materials and all this beauty will simply not be visible, because it will be hidden inside the walls. Therefore, an acceptable option in such cases is a cheaper ceramic ordinary brick, Lviv and Lviv region traditionally use it for the construction of residential and non-residential buildings even without the use of facing brick, since energy-efficient structures require additional insulating coatings and ordinary brick is the best fit for such cases as the main. building material.
Why is it that ordinary brick is considered the traditional and main building material in the construction of both agricultural and industrial buildings, as well as cottages and multi-storey buildings, such as hotels, recreation centers, hostels, etc.? All because of its characteristics, reasonable prices and ease of use - even at the design stage, they decide on specific building materials that will be used to build the building and ordinary brick simply has no alternative. It is not for nothing that this is the most ancient building material, which was used at the same time as wood - there are references to bricks in the Bible and the Old Testament, and archaeologists find fired bricks that are more than 25,000 years old! And if humanity ever decides to fly to other planets and build colonies there, then one of the first building materials that they will produce on site and use in construction will be brick. As specialists, we would be interested in seeing something like a Martian brick, but so far we only have ordinary ordinary brick from Lviv, which we have been producing near this city since 2011.
About the characteristics of ordinary brick from the Solonsko brick factory - these are not only standard sizes, but also thickened, double brick, as well as ceramic blocks 180 mm thick. Brick grade - from M100 to M150, that is, the strength of the brick is sufficient for the construction of both single-story and multi-story buildings. Frost resistance F25 is a standard indicator for ordinary brick, and water absorption is 10%, which is the average between the minimum and maximum values relative to the permissible water absorption for brick.

Ordinary brick price
The characteristics of ordinary brick, the price of which is the lowest among all typical types, are of decisive importance for construction and sometimes erroneous decisions are made to buy brick at the lowest price without taking into account all the parameters. The most important characteristic is strength, designated by the letter "M" with a corresponding number, for example M100 or M-100 or M 100, which means what maximum load a brick can withstand per 1 centimeter of its area (in our case, with a brick, M100 is 100 kilograms or 100 kg / cm. sq. or 10.0 MPa). This is an indicator that directly affects the cost, usually an ordinary brick with the lowest price has the lowest strength grade, most likely it is M75, but there are cases when codes at a lower price sell defective bricks or bricks that do not meet the characteristics specified in the certificate of conformity at all, for example, when the manufacturing process was violated - the temperature was insufficient for firing or the firing process was interrupted prematurely. If you need exactly M75 brick and an acceptable lowest price in the store - then you can additionally check its quality by throwing it somewhere on a hard surface and examining the fragments (it is advisable to buy bricks from different pallets individually in advance and warn the buyer about your intentions - this is quite acceptable in such cases). If the fragments are large, with sharp edges, without significant sand spillage from the inside - this is a high-quality ordinary brick, the price of which is reduced not due to a shortage or underbaking. But keep in mind that the Solonsko brick factory produces bricks starting with the M100 brand, all of it is high-quality and meets the declared strength parameters - this can be easily verified if you visit us and check what you are interested in with your own hands, we are just half an hour's drive from Lviv.
Another important parameter of ordinary brick, the price of which directly depends on it, is frost resistance. We have already written that our brick has frost resistance F25 - this is the standard of ordinary brick, which is produced not only in Lviv and Lviv region, but also throughout Ukraine. "F" means "Frost" (translated from English - "Frost"), and 25 is the number of freezing and thawing of the brick in a humid environment without destruction, usually periodically checked in a special laboratory in addition to other characteristics. The test itself is carried out by lowering the brick into clean water for 8 hours, after which it is placed in the freezer for 8 hours, and then back into water - and so on in a circle, the test cycles are counted. If the brick has withstood 25 cycles, that is, after 25 freezing / thawing does not crumble, does not crack, retains weight, is not subject to delamination (i.e. no technical characteristics are lost) - such a brick is endowed with the characteristic F25. For our climate, it is desirable to have F35 brick on the external walls, and for countries with a severe climate and frosts, F50 brick is used, and in countries with a hot climate, F15 is enough. Frost resistance F35 is the minimum for facing brick, that is, if it is used only on the outside, and the other brick is an ordinary F25 inside the walls - then this is a completely acceptable option for construction in our latitudes.
The next important characteristic is water absorption, closely related to frost resistance and strength - this value can also affect the price of ordinary brick in Lviv and the Lviv region, especially if it goes beyond the standard limits.
